Harry Evans
Harry passed away on 21st August 2012. His departure service was conducted at the Woking crematorium and was attended by members of the Aldershot branch. He had served with 9 Para Sqn during the late 50's.
Harry had been a long serving member of the branch and was one of those characters with a terrific sense of humour. He surprised us all by disclosing that he was a member of a choir and was also a keen rambler often organising his local group's treks around the countryside of Guildford and surrounding areas.
Sadly we know little of Harry's military career as he rarely spoke of his service life.
