Bert Haffenden

Bert, a former member of 3 Para Sqn RE, passed away on 14th June 2016.

Until recent years he and his wife held an annual garden party for former and current Airborne Engineer members at their home in East Sussex. Locating Bert's home was never a problem as he flew the Pegasus flag from a lofty flag pole in his garden.

His most proud possession was an extensive model railway, which he took great pleasure in demonstrating to his many friends and colleagues.
