Barrie Ladlow

 

Barrie sadly passed away on 11th October 2017, aged 84 years, at his home in Laceby surrounded by his wife and family.
As a mechanic he joined the Army in the 1950s and served in 9 PARA SQN R.E. for three years. He was involved in the EOKA Terrorist Crisis and took part in Operation Musketeer in the Suez Crisis. Barrie was second to none as a Sapper.
The packed Crematorium was an indication of his popularity. He had worked repairing and rebuilding motorcycles and provided replacement parts. Many bikers escorted his coffin to the Crematorium in Grimsby.
He had many hobbies, fishing, shooting and travel.
In the last few years he has suffered various setbacks but fought on to recover and get back to normal life.
